Can someone give me a definition of ';key internal control'; as opposed to just an internal control?

Further to my earlier answer, you might be interested in the following links:

1st link - Key Internal Control Activities

2nd link - If you're studying internal control, you should familiarise yourself with The Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission (COSO)'s framework. COSO states that internal control consists of five interrelated components:

1. Control Environment

2. Risk Assessment

3. Control Activities

4. Information and Communication

5. Monitoring

3rd link - The New Compliance Background

Although the SEC has not yet issued a definition or framework for internal controls, it is expected to closely align with the key internal control concepts of the Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission (COSO).

I can provide a few websites to get you started, but actually all you have to do is a google search. It's really easy. Note: you must remove all spaces from the links or they will not work.

What would a good definition be of a controlling man? just met a gal 2weeks ago already left me for some one?

she just got out of a 10 month relationship with a guy that also dated/slept with her sister too, found me had a fling now left me for another this time a married man, acused me of being controling and not sinsere, hey i was lied to and figured it out my self just told her i have lost all respect for her, you think she might have a problem? What would a good definition be of a controlling man? just met a gal 2weeks ago already left me for some one?
There is alot to that question... because a man can be controlling in more than just one area. He can be controlling through manipulation to get what he wants or another by threatening her. Telling her what she can and cannot do. What she can wear, when she can go out , who, what, where and when. It is really unhealthy and not a REAL genuine love for the other person. It is self centered and hurts both. Both need trust and freedom to become who they are and grow together...... letting each have that space. About your other question........ it looks like she is looking for someone or something to fill a void. She may have trust issues etc. Don`t know enough about her life to make any comments. Just don`t get bitter and learn. Don`t jump into a relationship too fast.......... find out about the person and get to know them. ( Not physically)What would a good definition be of a controlling man? just met a gal 2weeks ago already left me for some one?
i haven't in any way told her what to do or anything like that,we are both truck drivers for the same company, used to call me 3 to 5 times a day and also text messages on cell then like overnite it all stopped when she started traveling with another driver with the same company(married)

of course she has a problem. getting with a married man?
A controlling man wants to know what you are doing all the time- tell you what to wear, who your friends can be, be manipulative, manage you and your time- she sounds like a mess- and is bouncing from bed to bed - is she manic or what??? you only invested 2 weeks - so you have not lost much- and glad you were honest- D
Seems like she has got a problem, maybe from her boyf sleepin with her sis, she's trying to prove to herself that she is attractive and desired, hence the married man, because she probably thinks he must find her better than his wife to be cheating with her. She'll wake up one day, find yourself another girl who is more secure.

Definition of ';Contextual Symbol'; and ';Controlling metaphor';? HW due 2moro!?

Checked online dictionarys and google without success.

Don't have time to waste searching anymore so...

Please reply asap as this is a tiny part of my huge dreadful english homework which is due tomorrow *groan*.

Cheers.Definition of ';Contextual Symbol'; and ';Controlling metaphor';? HW due 2moro!?
a contextual symbol can be a setting, character, action, object, name, or anything else in a work that maintains its literal significance while suggesting other meanings. Such symbols go beyond conventional symbols; they gain their symbolic meaning within the context of a specific story. For example, the white whale in Melville's Moby-Dick takes on multiple symbolic meanings in the work, but these meanings do not automatically carry over into other stories about whales. The meanings suggested by Melville's whale are specific to that text; therefore, it becomes a contextual symbol.

a controlling metaphor is a symbolic story, where the whole poem may be a metaphor for something else.

Your definition of a Controlling Relationship?

I'm curious as to what everyones definition of a controlling relationship is? Is it where you blow off all your friends for a love interest? Are controlling relationships usually affairs? Brief scenario...i have a male friend in a relationship with a married neigbor............he's blown off ALL his friends cause she got bent cause he was hanging out w/other female friends (he's a single dad by the way) threatened to end relationship...he has been shutting himself off to focus on her she has kids too......they all hang out together.....husband knows guy...have seen 3 of them in pic together recently so i'm guessing he doesn't know. She also has a guy friend back in her home town she's totally in love with and leaves messages like ';i miss you'; etc etc etc. I think she's playing the the single dad big time.........and he's gullible enough to fall for it (i've been this route too). I feel bad for him.. but back to question...what do you define as a controlling relationship?Your definition of a Controlling Relationship?
That relationship.Your definition of a Controlling Relationship?
A controlling relationship is when one person dictates to the other what they can do, where they can go, who they can talk to, what they can wear etc... any of these things. No one owns anyone else. Each should be able to make their own decisions and the moment one tries to over ride the other is when red flags should go up.

Polypyrimidine tract binding protein controls the transition from exon definition to an intron defined..?

    ..spliceosome.

Someone can traslate this in italian?

    i can't understrant the sense!!

thanks **Polypyrimidine tract binding protein controls the transition from exon definition to an intron defined..?
I don't know Italian, but it is a complicated sentence so maybe I can simplify it a bit. The difference between an exon and an intron in mRNA is that the EXon is the part that is EXpressed during translation. (Translation is the process where mRNA is translated into protein ';language.';) But before translation can begin, the intron must be removed from the unprocessed mRNA. Polypyrimidine is the protein that ';finds'; the border between the exon and the intron.

What is the definitions/what does it mean of fear of crime and locus of Control?

Locus of control can be internal or external

Internal: individuals that believe events have occured as the results of actions they have taken.

External: individuals that believe events have occured as the results of other powers such as fate, luck etc.

I don't see how this links to fear of crime, but i can for committingg crime.

Internal: Someone commits an offencese because they have arranged/planned the crime themself E.g Bank robber.

External: offender blames the victim or others for forcing them to commit the crime. E.g they have been threatened, pissed off and so on.

    I hope this is clear : )

  • What are the definitions for experimental and controlled variables?

I understand basically what they are; I just need a single definition because I don't know how to explain it.What are the definitions for experimental and controlled variables?
go on google.com type in Define: and the word you want

    Definition of :controlling personality?

i just want to know what it means to be a controlling person.Definition of :controlling personality?
Was married to one. I wasn't ';allowed'; to speak to anyone other than him. If I spoke to another male, I was a W and wanted to ...same for speaking to a female. If he did not like my clothing, he would throw it away. He chose what nail color I wore. I was told I spent too much time with my Parents!! Glad I got shed of that totally brainless idiot. Got the picture? E me if you need other info.

What is a controlled variable. i need the definition.?

It is as the word says: a variable controlled by you.

What would be the definition of a controlling husband? And if he is leave or stay?

Do you feel controlled? If so, he is. Leaving would be good, but I know from experience it is HARD to get away from a controlling man. A support system is needed (family, friends, law enforcement, shelter) along with a plan. What would be the definition of a controlling husband? And if he is leave or stay?
For me, the definition would be anyone that makes me feel less than who I am or is mentally abusive - i.e. comments about my weight, friends, family and what I enjoy and don't enjoy. If he's taking you away from the things you love, then it's not worth your time - he's way too controlling. Controlling men have LOW self esteems and think that if they control you, that they have SOMETHING in life - they don't understand that they are truly hurting the other person. If it was me, and my husband was trying to control me, I'd leave. But that's me. Life is too short...

Good luck. What would be the definition of a controlling husband? And if he is leave or stay?
    Try this:

    http://www.wikihow.com/Recognize-a-Contr鈥?/a>
If you have someone telling you what to do or what not to do, then yes he is controlling and you need to tell him your not his child. If he insists on making you do what he wants then you need to turn and RUN!!!!! Don't look back just run...
A contolling husband is a man who does not want you to think or act for yourself. He tells you what you can do and when you can do it, where you can go and with whom. I know I am married to one for over 30 years and as they get older it gets worst now he wants to tell me to tell our son never to come to my house again. That is controlling. You have your own mind. Tell him that you are his wife not his employee or his slave. I do not know how long have you been married hopefully it is not to late. Talk to him if he is not willing to change now he never will. So you should ask him to leave and if he does not then you should leave. Because believe me it gets really bad. Good luck and God speed
He wants to control everything from money to where you can go and who you can be with as far as friends!!!!
well the more longer you stay the more controlling he gets and you will never get to leave i say you should leave know and write a nice dear john letter and say dear john, my time with you has been a wonder, but i think its time for me to move on my love for you has now died and its time for me to go

    last love

    (what your name is)
If he is, leave. figure it out.
A controlling husband is a man that tells you what to wear, what to do. Doesn't let you have freedom to go out without him. Definitely leave.
Controlling husband is in the word itself. If every action that you decide to take it is his choice and he has total control on it. If he is to stay with you be prepared to live a very sad life. If he is to leave then happiness and freedom will come your way.
The fact that you're even wondering ...Makes me believe that he IS .Not sure what kind of controller he is, cause there are many kind...but.....You can't make up your mind if the answer is to stay or go?.( that's one of the definitions!!)....in all seriousness..find help and council..be safe .

What is Your Definition of a Scorpio Being Manipulative and Controlling?

Manipulative and controlling are pretty much self explanatory adjectives. I guess when people say Scorpios are manipulative, they just mean they try to fix any given situation so that it benefits them, in a sneaky way. By controlling, it means they have to feel like they're in charge and they make the rules. But think of a man who doesn't let his girlfriend have friends, that would be controlling. Think of a girl who says whatever she thinks people want to hear to get her own way, that's manipulative. Again, they're pretty much self explanatory, and they're more behavioral and characteristic traits than just actions to describe or give examples. I'm sure you know what manipulative and controlling means if you just think about it.What is Your Definition of a Scorpio Being Manipulative and Controlling?
My uncle purposely taking a huge dump in my grandmother's personal bathroom knowing full well her toilet doesn't work. I love

em, but sometimes he can be a vindictive @$$hole.What is Your Definition of a Scorpio Being Manipulative and Controlling?
    Scorpios.

Ahh evil lil things lol. Not so much ';manipulative and controlling'; but more vindictive. They like revenge any way possible. If you hurt them, they will make sure you get what you deserve. Very private and lots of jealousy in this sign, so control issues can be there but not all the time. I've had plenty of friends who are Scorpios, and yes some of them are manipulative but just the same as any other sign. More possessive, vengeful, and jealous.

The last Scorpio that was manipulative and controlling to me was my old lil friend Lisa. I wasn't allowed to hang out with anyone else but her, had to leave when she wanted to, very possessive. But when I didn't want to hang out with her ONE night, she flipped out. Manipulated my friends to think I wasn't their friends and manipulated the situation to her favor to where she was the ';victim';. It was childish.

But hopefully not all Scorpios are like that.
Yes, many Scorpios that I have known have been very manipulative in getting their way. I know, my grandma is definitely one. Some say Scorpios are so oversexed because they rule the genitals it has been ridiculous. Here are the Scorpio Images: October 23-November 21

    Drama,Criticism (Libra\Scorpio)-Ocotber 23-25

    Intensity (Scorpio One)-October 26-November 2

    Depth (Scorpio Two)-November 3-11

    Charm (Scorpio Three)-November 12-18

    Revolution (Scor\Sagit)-November 19-21

    Scorpio Info

    Symbol- The Scorpion

    Ruler- Pluto, co-ruler Mars

    Element- Water

    Quality- Fixed

    Season- Mid Autumn

Colors- Black, blood red, charcoal gray

    Motto- I Control

Body Areas- Nose, genitals, blood, urethra
For controlling as they want their words to be the last one and it should be correct in everyway and manipulative if they want to destroy someones life they go behind their back to do so. Just be very careful as talking through experience.
That's a good example of a loaded question. You answered it even as you wrote it...

Who says Scorpios are manipulative and controlling? I say people are manipulative and controlling. Some of them are Scorpios, some aren't.

It's just that Scorpios do everything deeply, intensely, and unforgettably, that's all, so when they are being bad they upset people more.
I'm a Scorpio. I'm none of that. I'm a sweet person. But like to be a leader.

  • What is your definition of a controlling boyfriend?

Of all things, not necessarilly jealousy, but manipulation.

A controlling boyfriend will manipulate you, often times so that you will feel guilty and he will get his way. Controlling boyfriends live for that.

Sad but true. What is your definition of a controlling boyfriend?
If it's your boyfriend, he might just be stubborn and wants everything his way and how he likes it. but if he's telling you you can't hang out with certain friends or talk to certain boys, if he calls you and is always like where are you and who are you with , in a sense that he has to know where you are all the time and not out of curiosity. Also he might tell you not do certain things like, don't go to that club because your going out with me. If he also black mails you a lot like , fine if you don't come i'll break up with you. If this is your situation get out of it. It will only get worse, and sadly might turn into abuse. Also if he's always grabbing you to go in the direction he wants you to go in , but in an aggressive way. What is your definition of a controlling boyfriend?
Someone who limits your friends, where you go, who calls and don't calls, what you eat, where you sleep...okay...think Slave Master and slave. He'll play with your emotions and tell you that it's all your fault when in fact it's his. In fact, he'll control even your visit to your parents house. Watch the movie FEAR and ENOUGH.
a person that thinks he controls the relationship and that can boss u around but really he just wants to feel big and thats why most boys get beat up.
    he tells u:

when u can and cant go out

who u can and cant call/talk to

who u cant and cant go out with

    when to come home

and what parties u can and cant go to

If McCain wins, can the democrat controlled congress stop him by voting that he does not meet the definition?

of a native born American?. He was born in Panama. I suppose he could claim he is a native born Central American.?If McCain wins, can the democrat controlled congress stop him by voting that he does not meet the definition?
Panama from 1903 to 1979 the territory was controlled by the United States of America, (John McCain was born in 1936 making him a legal US citizen). From 1979 to 1999 the canal itself was under joint U.S.-Panamanian control. In 1977 the Torrijos-Carter Treaties established the neutrality of the canal.

Also the fact that he was born on a U.S. Military base automatically makes him as a U.S citizen. He was born on the Naval base in Panama. Both his Father and Grandfather were high ranking U.S. Admirals. If McCain wins, can the democrat controlled congress stop him by voting that he does not meet the definition?
Yeah, that will happen. Boy, I bet those crafty democrats know all the loopholes in the constitution to get their way!

a society that is controlled by a dictator or kingWhat is the definition of a controlled society?
Where one person or a small group of people decide how the societal institutions will function. Expression is usually suppressed and the rule of law is defined by the leader(s). The control policies are defined in terms meant to glorify the societies leaders in a manner that is usually hyper-inflated. In the end, the society is meant to function for the benefit of the leaders rather than the population as a whole.

What do you think about Bush's attempted changes to the definition of ';abortion'; in regards to birth control?

MoveOn.org is cirulating an email/open letter to John McCain right now in hopes of putting a stop to an attempt by Bush and his cronies to redefine the terms of ';abortion'; and thus make most birth control methods fall under the definition...this would make getting birth control very difficult (if not illegal in places) and thus is a HUGE issue in my opinion.

Here is the email I got today:

    ______________________________________鈥?br>

    Birth control's NOT abortion.

Can you imagine living in a place where birth control is considered an ';abortion'; and health insurers won't cover it? Where even rape victims are denied emergency contraception?

It seems unbelievable, but the Bush Administration is quietly trying to redefine ';abortion'; to include birth control. The Houston Chronicle says this could wipe out dozens of state laws that protect women's reproductive freedom and protect rape victims.

This proposed ';rule change'; would not need congressional approval. And while Barack Obama and other senators have sent Bush a letter of protest, the one person Bush might actually listen to--John McCain--has remained noticeably silent.

Can you sign an emergency open letter to John McCain today?

A compiled petition with your individual comment will be presented to John McCain.

    ______________________________________鈥?br>

I for one believe birth control to be a good thing, considering the population growth we currently have is part of the strain on our earth and our economy, however I don't see it as a form of abortion...what do you think? What do you think about Bush's attempted changes to the definition of ';abortion'; in regards to birth control?
Not true that is the liberal spin on it. He is protecting doctors and staff that don't want to administer an abortion or birth control out of their beliefs in what life is. Not prevent birth control, prevent people from making me perform an abortion or sell birth control when I don't want to.

The Bush administration proposal protects pro-life doctors, nurses and other medical professionals who don't want to be involved in abortions by enforcing existing laws.

It also protects medical centers that don't want to do abortions on site and revokes federal funds from those that discriminate against pro-life medical professionals.

What do you think about Bush's attempted changes to the definition of ';abortion'; in regards to birth control?
This is another classic example of how far the radical right wing really is. Bush Jr. has spent his entire two terms kowtowing to this vocal minority who claims they want less involvement of government, but wants the government to dictate their own moral and religious values on the entire country.
This is political propoganda in an election year. Don't fall for Moveon tactics.

Republicans strongly support use of birth control by democrats.

    now i am truly confused.

i thought liberals thought abortion WAS birth control, that there is no difference between the two. are you admitting that it is not? then what do you suppose it is?
One person's ';morning after pill'; is another person's ';abortion.'; just remember that whatever you think on this topic, 50% of the people in this country disagree with you.
    YAY!

Legislation brought to you by religious nutballs that don't care about your health or life!

    And remember,...

    every sperm is sacred.
First off, never believe ANYTHING that originates from moveon.org. It is pure liberal propaganda and nothing more.
It would help if you provided more information. What are the proposed changes to the definition of abortion?
I read that a few weeks ago and it wasn't from MoveOn

Why can't republicans mind their own business. They b*tch if you have too many kids and b*tch if you use birth control.
If you take moveon.org seriously then something is wrong with you.
The nanny state, once again, trying to control our lives. The government does not belong in my bedroom.
    Bush finally did something right
moveon.org should be your first clue that this is email spam propaganda.
Oh hell, without a link I will be skeptical of this. And moveon doesn't qualify any more than Rush Limbaugh.
Move on is a waste of air! They are SCUM!
Some Christian denominations believe that any method other than barrier is abortion, this is nothing new. Its just not that well known or advertised.

Their thinking is that with the pill conception can occur and its implantation that isn't happening, therefore the egg and sperm have met, and created an embryo. Not allowing that to implant and grow, causing in effect the end of the cells ability to replicate is in their view an abortion.

They feel that a group of undifferentiated cells has the same right to life as a full grown woman.

Doing this would endanger a woman's right to control her fertility and space her family and limit its size to one she and her husband can manage.

Why anyone would do something so foolish to placate a small, if vocal minority is beyond me.

McCain has already expressed his desire to end via packing the Supreme Court, abortion and so writing to him will do no good at all.

He is sleeping in their tent, and I, for one, am hoping hes wearing a condom.

It was just reported on the news on TV, so moveon.org is not the only place this has been reported.
Now that I see your sources, I apologize for calling that a hoax.

While I agree with the heart of that action (that service providers should be allowed to conscienciously object to provide service), there was absolutely no need to force such a precise and controversial definition of pregnancy into the bill. Including this language is clearly an attempt to make it easier to outlaw abortion in the future, so this redefinition should be stopped.

If Bush isn't stopped, the next president does need to know what the lame duck did so they can reverse his action.
Considering it is Moveon.org as your source I have doubts about it.

I like to get a independent source on that before I believe it.

Tell what I will support your effort if you will support my effort to ban all partial birth abortion expect in the case of the mother's life is in danager.

Or support the bill that a baby born alive during an abortion should be given life saving measures.

Hey Guys! I'm doing an assignment and they are asking me about negative controls. I don't understand what a negative control is and after looking a various sites including Wikipedia I still don't understand. Could you guys explain it to me or give me some examples to try and help me out?

Thanks :)Examples or Definitions of a negative control?
When you run an experiment you usually run a negative control to check for contamination.

A negative control is exactly what it sounds like, a controlled part of the experiment in which negative results are expected.

For example, if we are interested in answering the question ';In what temperature does yeast grow the best in?'; We would go about making petri dishes of the yeast and putting them in various temperature conditions, such as 15C, 20C and 25C incubators. The negative control would simply be a blank petri dish that we would put in the incubator. After looking at the plates days later, we would expect growth on some of the yeast, and no growth on the negative control.

The reason we include the negative control is to show that there is no contamination in the yeast plates. If something were to grow in the negative control, we would have reason to believe that all the other yeast plates were contaminated as well which would give us skewed or bad data.

    Hope that makes sense.

Manipulated variable- is the thing that will be changed.

Controlled variable- is the thing in the experiment that will not be changed. like water on plants. its what you compare your results to.

Operational definition- experimental procedure for changing the variable to a measurement or numeric value.

I think the responding is how you measure your change.

Document version control and document maturity definitions. Document review guidelines?

I am trying to communicate document review guidelines to people who have not been involved with this sort of stuff before. Examples of the problems we are encountering are - getting feedback on first draft documents containing low level, detailed comments. We are also encountering a lack of understanding of why documents sent around in initial draft are not the same quality as those submitted for final review.

The standard titles used with in this project to convey document maturity /status are - Initial Draft, Core Draft, Peer Review, Final Draft %26amp; Approval.

As part of the education process, I really want some help to define each stage? eg ';Initial Draft should contain... As a reviewer you should be looking to verify... (table of contents or something)'; where as ';Final draft should be at .... level of maturity, and reviewers should be looking to verify...';Document version control and document maturity definitions. Document review guidelines?
I was the Drawing Control Supervisor for the company that built the Syncrude tar sands plant. We had hundreds of blueprints, specification changes, memos, etc constantly changing. I developed a document information log that was updated as the revisions were made. The log listed all documents , which listed the dates and status of each one. including initial date . All depts were given a copy weekly and they were required to sign it and return it to the drawing control dept with any requests for extra copies, or any that they didn't have the current version of. It was less confusing to use revision numbers rather than naming them. you could have a sheet attached to each document that must be signed and returned to the originator within a certain period, and it should have an area for comments etc. As for the quality you should have a highlighted area on the document explaining that it is only a draft and the quality may be lower .

WHY DO WE HAVE A CONTROL in an experiment? plz plz proper definition?

my exam is in 2 days and i have had so many variations of why we have a control i need the perfect definition that will gain me the full mark

PLEASEEEWHY DO WE HAVE A CONTROL in an experiment? plz plz proper definition?
You have a control in an experiment so you have a constant within the experiment, something to compare you variables against.

I hope that was good enough of an answer.WHY DO WE HAVE A CONTROL in an experiment? plz plz proper definition?
The simple definition of a control in an experiment is a trial containing specimens where the variable being tested by the hypothesis is kept constant. This allows for a comparison to the experiment where the variable is changed to see if there is a different result.

Experiments conducted with a control help reduce the incidence of skewed results that can result from human error and bias. Additionally, this methodology allows a scientist to make sure that there were no other influences on their experiment.
    Easy.

Control is a method to gauge the effectiveness of an experiment. By comparing the results of your test group to the control, you can have a measure for the differences created by experimental conditions. In biology specifically, controls are useful to tell if you have some sort of contamination.

Another example. I pour tiny gels in my lab (11 uL). In order to tell if the gel polymerized, I examine the container where I mixed up my gel. (control). If that polymerized, then I know my 11uL gel did as well.
U need a control so u can compare your other results

otherwise, you have no idea what affected it.

A ';controlling'; idea is an idea that makes a reader ask a question. Any time a topic sentence has a good ';controlling'; idea, the reader will have his or her curiosity raised.

In effect, the reader will say (in the mind) questions such as How? or In what way? or What does that mean?

Examples of good ';controlling'; idea topic sentences:

It is difficult to read English for someone who has used Farsi. (Why is it difficult? How is it difficult?)

Yesterday, I had an unusual experience on the bus. (What experience did you have? Why was it unusual?)

Example of a topic sentence with NO ';controlling'; idea:

Last year, my wife and I went to visit Banff, Alberta. (A fact, but I have no questions to ask you; if you had said, ';had fun in Banff,'; then I would have questions for you!

egbemandang@yahoo.caThe definition of the following:maintenance processes, manufacturing plants, control systems, reliability proc
maintenance process is a series of activities to keep a production running, normally the process starts from the plant or factory operators when facing a problem in production sequence then to a maintenance coordinator or some other levels based on the size and extent of the plant and finally to a group of expert engineers and technicians whom carry the maintenance job out, however this process may include some preventive maintenances鈥?that are done in order to prevent and failure or shut down of the related plant.

Control system: is a chain of primary elements that measure variable parameters like length, weight, flow, temperature, position... and sends result of the measurement to a control center in which either an operator or controller (which can be as simple as a thermostat to a large series of programmable logic controller connected together) compares the results with the desired values and sends a correction order to control element like motors, valves, heaters, coolers, ..

Stability (in control theory) often means that for any bounded input over any amount of time, the output will also be bounded. This is known as BIBO stability (see also Lyapunov stability). • What are the definitions of Quality Control and Quality Assurance?

In tech class we need to find out what Quality Control and Quality Assurance are, in terms of creating and building quality products. Can anyone help? What are the definitions of Quality Control and Quality Assurance?
Quality assurance is developing systems that assures quality. For example, a QA engineer may develop quality plans for manufacturing including statistical process control systems. Generally these are developed after extensive consultations with the customer or people who keep in touch with customer. He/she may also provide quality specifications to other organizations.

Quality control deals with actually monitoring products. For example, people who check incoming quality are involved with QC work. What are the definitions of Quality Control and Quality Assurance?
Quality Assurance is a process for checking the product 'designed' and/or 'developed' and/or 'produced'.

Let us take simple example of Foot ball. It is designed by a design engineer to be produced with some rubber with thickness t. QA will check whether this thickness football will be good for at least double the play time. Along with the weather conditions and forces that can effect with the kicks it is getting on.

Once product manufacturing data is made as per QA checks, then this data is made as standard and Quality Control person will keep on checking in process of the product manufacturing whether this product is been produced as per plan. It can at each stage check or before delivering to the end customer check etc.
Rajashekhar Shivaram gave you a very good description of how it would be in a large enterprise

most businesses need to make a profit to survive

if you check everything that is being done and you need to check those who check's...your business will die!

the plan has to be economical.

another way to present it is

consider the chief of police, he or she has to insure the quality of life of the citizens

how many police agents do you put and where to distribute speeding tickets?

if they are always monitoring the same place, people will not speed at that location anymore, the defect will go away!

They will go race somewhere else.

so they (the quality control people) have to be relocated on a periodic and random basis. This is the QA plan

the police officers do the quality control

While self-control is powerful, thinking about what your goals are and what behaviours you want to control is even more powerful. Think about it - self-control involves choices and sacrifices. Trait anxiety: anxiety that is a persistent characteristic of a person.

Attentional control: how much control does a person have over where to put attention to, e.g., people with ADD have poor attentional control.

Do you agree with this definition of religion: control of the poor, uneducated, sickly masses with promises...?

of wealth, health, and ever lasting life in paradise? isn't this what all religion is about? just a way to blind people to the inequality among them?Do you agree with this definition of religion: control of the poor, uneducated, sickly masses with promises...?
    no..

STRDo you agree with this definition of religion: control of the poor, uneducated, sickly masses with promises...?
Actually, that is why Mohamed created Islam. To control the people and get them to follow him. There is a true faith though which is to educate, help the poor, heal the sick, and spread the truth of God. With God there is equality and the truth opens blind eyes. As far as what wealth is, that is highly over rated and deceptive. You see acquiring wealth is a religion to the secular world. It brings power. And power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. How does it corrupt? It causes you to control the poor, uneducated, sickly masses with promises of wealth, health, and life in paradise. Just a way to blind people to the inequality amoung them.
Some here seem to be able to see a difference between religion and faith. Religion is a regimented system of rituals, traditions, and practices that adherents feel they must do in order to be considered members of that particular religion. Looking at it from this perspective, then I think you are accurately stating the situation. But with faith in God we are dealing with individuals who have an intimate, personal relationship with God that does not depend upon ritual, tradition, nor any practice. Perhaps the only practices that could be identified with faith in God would be that of prayer and worship. Other than that, there would only remain studying the Bible to learn how to live one's life properly. Faith leads the individual to help the less fortunate people however they might be able.
    Some times, in certain cases.

Thankfully many religions (like Neo-Pagan ones) are for this life, for those that can seize life and helping those that can't.

And thank the Gods, I'm neither poor nor uneducated nor sickly nor swayed away by vague promises. I live for this life. If there are others awaiting me after death they are welcomed. If not then who cares?
    Not Christianity.

Christianity is about Salvation and Jesus is The Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.

Anyone can believe in Him and be saved (poor or rich) or not (poor or rich).

Jesus told Nicodemus, ';You must be born again to see the Kingdom of God'; and anyone that rejects that will be lost, rich or poor, smart or not so smart.
While I have NO idea what Fireballs response of ';No...STR'; means, I would say that you are...as the British would call it...spot on. I would however add that it's not necessarily a way to blind people, but rather to make them content with their lot in life so that they don't try to change it.
No. I'm sorry you've been hurt by religion. I am not poor, I have a Master's degree that I earned with a 4.0, I am not sickly. I've researched. I've read and I've decided to believe. I don't need to come up with excuses not to.
    No on all counts.

Of course, you may have a different definition of relgion. My religion is nothing like this, and I bet most Christians will say the same. In all honesty, I haven't seen a sickly mass for ages. Give it up.
Unfortunately it's become more than that now. It may have been for that reason thousands of years ago, but now it's not uncommon to see wealthy and well-educated people believe. It's gotten a little out of hand.
No ! I am sorry that you might believe that. Jesus said it is easier to put a camel through the eye of a needle, than it is for a rich man to see heaven.
That sounds like what some Abrahamic faith followers are about. Not religion though.
Heh, kind of like the Obama Administration.

    Ba-dum tss
No that's called Congress and their empty political promises that they brake.
Yes. With most religions, life is just a passing stage to heaven - wasted in church that is.

My religion doesn't fit that bill.
i do believe it is a method of control

What is the definition of hand hygiene according to Center for Disease Control 2002?

for nursingWhat is the definition of hand hygiene according to Center for Disease Control 2002?
    http://www.cdc.gov/od/oc/media/pressrel/鈥?/a>

Handwashing with soap and water remains a sensible strategy for hand hygiene in non-health care settings and is recommended by CDC and other experts.

    # When health care personnel's hands are visibly soiled, they should wash with soap and water.

    # The use of gloves does not eliminate the need for hand hygiene. Likewise, the use of hand hygiene does not eliminate the need for gloves. Gloves reduce hand contamination by 70 percent to 80 percent, prevent cross-contamination and protect patients and health care personnel from infection. Handrubs should be used before and after each patient just as gloves should be changed before and after each patient.

    # When using an alcohol-based handrub, apply product to palm of one hand and rub hands together, covering all surfaces of hands and fingers, until hands are dry. Note that the volume needed to reduce the number of bacteria on hands varies by product.

    # Alcohol-based handrubs significantly reduce the number of microorganisms on skin, are fast acting and cause less skin irritation.

    # Health care personnel should avoid wearing artificial nails and keep natural nails less than one quarter of an inch long if they care for patients at high risk of acquiring infections (e.g. Patients in intensive care units or in transplant units

    # When evaluating hand hygiene products for potential use in health care facilities, administrators or product selection committees should consider the relative efficacy of antiseptic agents against various pathogens and the acceptability of hand hygiene products by personnel. Characteristics of a product that can affect acceptance and therefore usage include its smell, consistency, color and the effect of dryness on hands.

    # As part of these recommendations, CDC is asking health care facilities to develop and implement a system for measuring improvements in adherence to these hand hygiene recommendations. Some of the suggested performance indicators include: periodic monitoring of hand hygiene adherence and providing feedback to personnel regarding their performance, monitoring the volume of alcohol-based handrub used/1000 patient days, monitoring adherence to policies dealing with wearing artificial nails and focused assessment of the adequacy of health care personnel hand hygiene when outbreaks of infection occur.

    # Allergic contact dermatitis due to alcohol hand rubs is very uncommon. However, with increasing use of such products by health care personnel, it is likely that true allergic reactions to such products will occasionally be encountered.

    # Alcohol-based hand rubs take less time to use than traditional hand washing. In an eight-hour shift, an estimated one hour of an ICU nurse's time will be saved by using an alcohol-based handrub.

    # These guidelines should not be construed to legalize product claims that are not allowed by an FDA product approval by FDA's Over-the-Counter Drug Review. What is the definition of control reagent?

A substance used in a chemical reaction to detect, measure, examine, or produce other substances.

a substance used to start a chemical reactoin

For example hydrochloric acid is the chemical reagent that would cause calcium carbonate to release carbon dioxide. Similarly, but less obvious, hydrochloric acid is the chemical reagent that reacts with zinc to produce hydrogen, even though in this case the hydrogen comes from the acid and not the metal.

To classify any of the chemicals involved in a chemical reaction as the ';reagent'; is thus largely a matter of convention or perspective.

In another use of the term, when purchasing or preparing chemicals, ';reagent'; describes chemical substances of sufficient purity for use in chemical analysis, chemical reactions or physical testing. Purity standards for reagents are set by organizations such as ASTM International. For instance, reagent-quality water must have very low levels of impurities like sodium and chloride ions, silica, and bacteria, as well as a very high electrical resistivity.

INSIDE THE MINDS of ANGRY and CONTROLLING MEN

    BY: LUNDY BANCROFT

15 Signs That Point to a Potential Abuser

    1. A push for quick involvement: comes on very strong, claiming, “I’ve never felt loved like this by anyone.” An abuser pressures the woman for an exclusive commitment almost immediately.

    2. Jealousy: excessively possessive, calls you constantly or visits unexpectedly, prevents you from going to work because “you might meet someone”, checks the mileage on your car.

    3. Controlling: interrogates you intensely (especially if you’re late), about whom you talked to, and where you were, keeps all the money, insists that you ask permission to go anywhere or do anything.

    4. Unrealistic expectations: expects you to be the perfect woman and meet his every need.

    5. Isolation: tries to cut you off from family and friends; accuses people who are your supporters of “causing trouble”; the abuser may take away your phone or car and try to prevent you from keeping a job.

    6. Blames others for problems and mistakes; the boss, you – it’s always someone else’s fault if anything goes wrong.

    7. Makes everyone else responsible for his feelings: the abusers says, “You make me angry”, instead of “I am angry” or “You hurt me by not listening or doing what I tell you to do”, also, “Why do you make me hit you?”

    8. Hypersensitivity: he is easily insulted, claims that his feelings are hurt when he is really just mad.

    9. Cruelty to children and animals; kills or punishes animals brutally. May expect children to do things far beyond their ability. For example: may whip a 2 year old for wetting a diaper, or may tease a child till they cry. 65% of abusers who beat their partner will also abuse children.

    10. “Playful” use of force during sex; he enjoys throwing you down or holding you against your will during sex; says he finds the idea of rape exciting.

    11. Verbal abuse: constantly picking at you, or says cruel, hateful things, degrades, curses, calls you ugly things, then says you’re too sensitive. May include sleep deprivation – waking you to curse at you, won’t let you sleep until “this is taken care of”.

    12. Rigid sex rules: expects you to serve, obey and remain at home.

    13. Sudden mood swings – switches from sweetly loving to explosively violent in a matter of minutes.

    14. Admits to hitting women in the past, but says they made him do it, or it wasn’t his fault. Uses threats of violence. “I’ll break your neck!” “I’ll kill you if…” then says “Everybody talks that way”, or “I didn’t really mean it.” If he has come this far it’s time to get help to get out.

The Abuser’s Most Common Control Tactics:

    • Sarcasm

    • Ridicule

    • Distorting what you say

    • Distorting what happened before

    • Sulking

    • Accusing you of doing what HE does, or thinking the way HE thinks

    • Interrupting

    • Not listening, refusing to respond

    • Laughing out loud at your opinion

    • Turning your complaints against you

    • Changing the subject to HIS complaints

    • Criticism that is harsh, undeserved or frequent

    • Provoking guilt

    • Making HIMSELF the victim

    • Smirking, rolling his eyes, making faces

    • Yelling, shouting

    • Swearing

    • Name-calling, insulting you or putting you down

    • Walking out

    • Towering over you

    • Walking toward you with his fist raised

    • Blocking a doorway

    • Getting too close when he is angry

    • Threatening to leave you

    • Threatening to harm youWhat's your definition of a *control freak*?
In psychology-related slang, control freak is a derogatory term for a person who attempts to dictate how everything around them is done. It can also refer to someone with a limited number of things that they want done a specific way

In some cases, the control freak sees their constant intervention as beneficial or even necessary; this can be caused by feelings of superiority, believing that others are incapable of handling matters properly, or the fear that things will go wrong if they don't attend to every detail. In other cases, they may simply enjoy the feeling of power it gives them so much that they automatically try to gain. control of everything around them.
A control freak is someone who has to know where you are and who you are with all the time, someone who has to be in charge of making decisions about most aspects of your life. As the title suggests, a control freak has to be in control of each and every situation and has an inherent desire for power. He/she has to be in charge or all hell breaks loose.
control freak.... to me, its someone that feels the need to monitor you, someone that thinks they need to keep a tab on you and watch your behavior and then evaluate and analyze everything you do. From phone calls, to internet usage, to conversations... just someone that feels the need to watch over everything you do and analyze/evaluate it. Then of course, you begin to tippy toe around them out of fear you will not meet their expectations....
A control freak is a person who has to control every aspect of your life and I mean every aspect no matter what it is. I was married to a man like that and he made me miserable. He would even scream at me if I did not say to him what he wanted me to say. He would also threaten suicide if he could not take control.
now let's be real: EVERYONE likes to control their environment and when we don't, we feel weak. so the line is at when you want to control another person! say, your spouse is on the phone and you want him/her to get off (unless he/she is been on the phone for 2 hrs or something)

you got the point.. a control freak is someone who would try to control my actions for his own benefit!! and frankly that doesn't fly well w/me!!
a control freak will start off real nice. They will make you think you are apart of the decision making. Then after a while they will use guilt,Then they start getting loud, then they force, and enforce. They are paranoid and very insecure. If you aer weak they will take over your life and crush you down physically and mentally.Belittle is 2 words be little and if you don't stay little they will beat you down.
This, like all man-made labels, is a matter of opinion.

What should matter to you, is YOUR definition.

If your spouse meets YOUR definition, get out.
Someone who wants to know where you are at all times. Tells you what you can and cannot do, where you can and cannot go. Tries to make your decisions for you and doesn't want you to think for yourself.
taking control of everything and wanting everything done their way
A freak who is in control of the situation.

  • Gun control? What is your definition and opinion?

I want to know why people are for or against guns. And forget the guns kill people theory..Gun control? What is your definition and opinion?
I live in the United States and the 2nd Amendment grants each citizen the right to keep and bear arms. In the recent past, there have been attempts by Democrats to misinterpret our constitution and claim that the 2nd Amendment applies only to the military. Well, they are wrong and I'd be very surprised if they ever succeed in taking away our 2nd Amendment right (please research the Emerson case for more specifics on what I'm referring to).

Private citizens need guns for many purposes. Hunting for sport and meat has been and continues to be a right exercised by millions of law abiding Americans. Some of us collect guns because we simply enjoy the fine craftsmanship of a well made firearm. Some of us shoot for sport and target practice as a form of recreation and honing our skills. As for using firearms as weapons against people, there is much evidence to indicate that a criminal will be quite reluctant to attack a person if there is a possibilty that that person is armed. I feel quite confident that my parents, wife, children, and numerous other friends and relatives are well equipped with the proper skills and weapons to defend themselves if they should ever be attacked by a life-threatening criminal. If more people practiced their skills, and responsibly carried firearms, there would be a much reduced threat of criminal attack. Once a person has been convicted of a violent crime, his 2nd Amendment right should be taken from him. Those of us who enjoy guns in a responible manner, however, should be allowed to pursue our hobby in whatever way we wish, without the threat of uninformed people threatening to take away our rights. Guns are dangerous weapons at times, but in the right hands they can be used responsibly and are an integral part of how this country came to be in the first place. Before anyone spouts off about gun lovers who are hiding in bunkers, harboring irrational fears, and making ready to commit mass killings, you should consider the fact that most gun owners are not weirdos who want to kill you. Our guns are much less dangerous to society that your teenage kids, riding around drunk in their new sports cars that you bought for them......

For Bob D.: ';A well regulated militia being neccessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed';. I expected someone to try to misinterpret this again.....it keeps happening and we keep proving you wrong. As I said, please research the Emerson case to see what the Courts have to say about this. And, Bob, please cover up your bare arms! The correct word is BEAR.Gun control? What is your definition and opinion?
gun control is using a two-hand grip
Guns don't kill criminals, I kill criminals. I have many guns and I intend on keeping them. If you want a society who will be totally controled by the ones in power, take away the guns from everyone.
Gun control, aim carefully and squeeze the trigger.
I'm very much for allowing all non-felons to carry guns at any time. The facts have shown that the places in the US that do permit this have much lower crime rates than other places in the country. People are much less likely to commit a violent crime against someone that just might be holding a gun, or when their might be a gun very nearby. Without that, the criminals will always have the advanatage.

Also, I've often heard it said that the world would be a better place if guns were just outlawed. That actually couldn't be further from the truth. If guns were outlawed, they would not disappear. In fact, if guns were outlawed, only outlaws would have guns. If only outlaws have guns, than the rest of us don't stand a chance to defend ourselves..
    like the old saying ';GUNS DON`T KILL ,PEOPLE DO';
';Gun Control'; is of course governmental regulation of who has access to firearms.

In lands where persons are not 'free citizens' so much as 'subjects' - cradle to grave charges of the government who live, work, and eat from the government's hand their whole lives (i.e. Europe, Canadia, China, Massachusetts, Maryland) - people expect the government to take care of them and wouldn't know what to do with a gun in the first place. They have absolutely no concept of personal responsibility or independent action. This is a pathetic state of human existence and typical of the Darwinian mindset of evolutionary concepts: we are herd animals.

However the United States was founded on principles of individual responsibility and personal accountability. That is why it is so radically different from the rest of the world. The concept that humans, working together for their own individual betterment but brought together in a common struggle to maintain a refuge for personal freedom, could frame and maintain a central government strong enough to cohesively establish and defend a homeland, control trade, build infrastructure, and see to the welfare of its population is ridiculous. Yet here we are. That is why the rest of the world hates us - because we are beautiful, strong, and free wild horses while they are just placid bovines. We fight off every challenger individually, while they just allow a few of their fellowes to fall victim to predators in the name of herd survival. We have personal relationships with the Creator of Heaven and Earth - while they think they are descended from pond scum.

Gun ownership represents personal integrity, citizenship in its highest form, and accountability to God Almighty. Gun control represents denial of personal control or accountability, serfdom, and the desire to have someone else in charge of your fate.
gun control is being able to hit the target...seriously, if you own a gun, i think that you need to be responcible for it. keep it away from children, and make sure you go to a range or something so you can be proficient in handling it.
If you know how to use a gun and you have a permit to carry it. Then what's the probelm with you proctecing yourself from criminals. Now if you've been in prison and r convited of a feloney than no you shouldn't be allowed to carry a gun. Just for the fact that you can't keep yourself out of trouble. So I'm all for someone having guns...... Cops aren't always around to proctect you so you have to take the matter into your own hands.
I believe it is an antiquated idea who's time has passed. Back in the 1700's when the founding fathers included the right to bare arms, they finished the sentence with, the right to bare arms in a militia. Not the right to bare arms. When settlers faced natives, they had to defend themselves, had to have guns for food. It is over 200 years later, food is readily available in grocery stores, natives are no longer an everyday threat, the U.S. military is the best equipped in the world , yet everyday citizens seem to have the idea that they have a ';God-given'; right to an Uzi or AK47. If you would like to own a gun, I have no problem with it, license your weapon as you'd license your car. You need a driver's test to get a license, have a test before licensing a weapon. This is not an affront to responsible gun owners, only to those that choose to abuse the ';privilege'; of possessing one. I am not anti-gun ownership , nor anti-personal choice. But each year hundreds of our children are killed. Maybe through registration, those numbers could drop to double digits(or lower). Isn't something like that worth it??

    This is for NN

You quote the 2nd amendment. It reads, the right to bare arms in a militia. The sentence does not end at arms.It ends at militia.

    NN

the definition for gun control is being able to shoot and drink a beer at the same time.
    Gun Control...

Arguments for: (I'll just stick to three points.)

    1. Safe use of firearms (for instance, protection from children, and knowing how to handle guns)

    2. Guns should not be in the hands of those who have no real need of guns.

    3. Crime prevention. Which law abiding citizen would have need of guns? With proper gun control systems in place, people would have no need for gun ownership out of fear. (Witness places like Canada, Germany or Switzerland, where it is normal for people to have guns, and yet shooting incidents are rare, unlike in the US.)

    My personal definition...

Gun control is the means by which gun ownership is limited to those who are deemed responsibile enough AND have LEGITIMATE use for the gun(s). For instance, the military.

    (Why would civilians require guns?)

    Opinion:

I live in countries where it is illegal for civilians to handle guns. (Ireland and Gambia) Shootings? very unusual in the Gambia, and very unusual until quite recently in Ireland. (More organised crime by armed civilian criminals)
I think that every law abiding American has the right to bear arms.
Every american has right to bear arms....im in the army, they give me my arms and keep me alive.
gun control is hitting what you aim at.
I beleive guns don't kill people, people kill people.

The original reasons it was put into our constitution were:

    1. If the government gained too much power and became oppressive, the people could overthrow the government.

    2. hunting and safety from wild animals

I beleive people should be allowed to own guns, just they have to get training, a liscence, background checks and all that jazz first.

As a leader what constitute an operational definition of supervision and control?

I say stay out of the workers way, provide them with everything they need to do the job, let them know how appreciative you are of their accomplishments, and run interference when management tries to distract them or to make their work unnecessarily more difficult. If the workers are treated like that from their immediate, the word control can be ignored.

What is your definition of a control freak?

thanks for your answrsWhat is your definition of a control freak?
Someone who has a compulsive need to control all aspects of his or her own life, such that he or she often views others (particularly those closest) as attempting to control or impose upon his or her life. A control freak ends up trying to control not only his or her own life, but also that of others. Controlling his or her own life is the primary goal, while attempting to control others' lives is simply a protective measure. If they are not in control, they panic and grow angry and aloof. They have the it's-my-way-or-the-highway philosophy. In love relationships, a control freak often tries to control his/her partner out of insecurity and lack of trust. What is your definition of a control freak?
someone who has no concern for the other persons feeling in the relationship. One who feels that unless they are in charge that whatever the situation will unravel and not workout.
Someone one who feels they have to have last say, be informed on everything or have a majority opinion about every topic or else make life hell for everyone involved.

What is a perfect definition for why we use a control in an experiment?

to act as a standard for comparison for checking results of an experiment with one or more experimental variables.

what is a perfect definition that will gain me full marks?

i know my one is too vagueWhat is a perfect definition for why we use a control in an experiment?
I'm not sure, but I'll try..

To enable the theorist or experimenter to gain the most accurate results with the least amount of uncontrollable factors, and to allow the person to compare the various variable results in order to make an accurate find.

I think mine is kind of weird though...What is a perfect definition for why we use a control in an experiment?
You should say something about how your experiment might be confounding results - that is, changing the outcome so that the actual values you get for the experimental tests are artificially elevated/decreased.

What is the definition for gun control?

Does it mean no guns or does it mean stringent back-ground checks on gun buyers? What is the definition for gun control?
I'd have to say more stringent back ground checks on gun buyers. The problem with this is it drives up the cost for the blue collar Joe who works and enjoys many of the activities guns have to offer.

More stringent laws on the ones who are legally able to purchase guns will not drop crimes involving guns, as the criminals cannot legally purchase guns anyways. Criminals always can and will get a hold of guns if they want to.

Case in point, just recently in my small city there was a bank robbery and a gun was used. Guess what, they caught the criminals and found the gun they used...it was stolen...not legally purchased by the criminal. What is the definition for gun control?
It means, don't pull the trigger until you are absolutely sure your aim is right.
It means the removal of all guns from the hands of the general population so when the/a government comes to get you you will have no way to protect yourself and stringent back-ground checks and gun registration lets the/a government know you have weapons and will take you out when they break down your door.

Case in point...Germany in the 1930's that lead to concentration camps and mass murders when Hitler took guns away from the general population. Don't say it can't happen here in the states it could very easily. More easily than you might want to think.

I too hate the rampant killings etc with guns, but to remove them the outcome will be worse.
The only gun control we should have is, when you shoot at a criminal, you use 2 hands! Then there would be less crime........look at the crime figures for any state or city with real tight gun laws an you will notice a very high crime rate.States with conceal and carry always have lower crime rates
Gun Control = Violation of Second Amendment Rights.

The only people who benefit from gun control are criminals. Criminals could care less about laws. Gun control takes away a citizen's freedom to protect himself making him vulnerable to criminals. In areas where gun restrictions are strong, gun violence goes UP not down.
Gun control should mean stringent back-ground checks and banning the sale of automatic weapons and cop killer bullets. No hunter or someone protecting their home needs a machine gun or dum dum rounds. Why should the cops be out gunned?
    Hitting what you aim at.
Keeping guns out the hands of Waco like wackos, the mentally unstable, and those prone to violence.
It depends, some places like DC and NY City pretty much ban any private gun ownership, so when a lot of people use the term, that's what they mean. This is clearly a violation of the 2nd Amendment since basically every U.S. male is a member of the militia (as defined in U.S. Code Title 10). I like your definition and believe that's the way it should be, ';stringent background checks';. As a gun owner, I am also in favor of a waiting period. If I want to go pistol shooting today and I don't own one, I see no reason why I can't wait until next Saturday, but I do think a cooling off period is useful. I really don't like the idea of someone decided that they want to own a firearm on the spur of the moment anyway. I would also not have a problem with having everyone who wants to buy any gun have an NRA certificate of completion for safety training course for each type of weapon that they want to own (pistol, rifle, shotgun). I think if everyone who owns guns were required to take these courses, we would have a lot less problems with accidents and stolen guns. I don't understand why the NRA opposes waiting periods and mandatory safety courses (especially since they provide the best safety courses). I see no problem with regulations of this type, since that would be part of the ';well regulated militia'; clause of the 2nd Amendment.

Anything beyond regulations to make gun ownership safer such as prohibiting mentally sound, law-abiding citizens is not gun control, it is a violation of the Constitution.
    It means ';legal'; statute only.
It means no guns , and it means no more freedom of speech!

What is the definition of crime control model of corrections?

Crimes happen in all prisons each minute of each day; it's just a sad but cold fact. What do you expect from a bunch of locked up DRUG and ALCOHOL ADDICTS seeking an itch to their scratch??

The Crime Control model for corrections officers is a disciplined, strictly focused effort to showing a very prevalent professional authoritative presence around inmates and focus on tireless efforts in searching inmates and their enviroment surroundings in prison for contraband.

The Corrections Crime Control Model procedure calls for supervisory staff to insure each officer on each shift follow on the same level of security service--leaving very little room for duties to be done differently.

The Corrections Crime Control Model's main focus is public safety OUTSIDE the fences and walls of accredited prisons.

The daily occurances in prisons are hidden well from the public who deserve to know and see the inherent dangers the men and women in corrections security face each second of their tour of duty. What is the definition of crime control model of corrections?

  • What is the definition of crime control?

technically you cant really completely control crime. though you can manage it. by making arrests and traffic stops you are making it known that crime will not be tolerated in your area. therefore making it less likely for people to become repeat offenders. you can incarcerate head drug and illegal weapons dealers and make it harder for people to come by these things. its what my friends and i like to call 'crime management.'What is the definition of crime control?
keeping criminals in prisonWhat is the definition of crime control?
The ability to properly aim and decisively eliminate targets as acquired throughout all ranges of any specific firearm in use. Thereby promoting crime control!

Can someone give me a definition of ';key internal control'; as opposed to just an internal control?

Internal control is the process designed, implemented and maintained by those charged with governance, management and other personnel to provide reasonable assurance about the achievement of an entity’s objectives with regard to reliability of financial reporting, effectiveness and efficiency of operations, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The term “controls” refers to any aspects of one or more of the components of internal control.

Key Internal Controls are those controls designed to meet the company's control objectives and address management’s financial statement assertions for MATERIAL activity. Management relies upon these controls to prevent and detect MATERIAL errors and misstatements.

    ISA 315.12 says, ';The auditor shall obtain an understanding of internal control relevant to the audit. Although most controls relevant to the audit are likely to relate to financial reporting, not all controls that relate to financial reporting are relevant to the audit. It is a matter of the auditor’s professional judgment whether a control, individually or in combination with others, is relevant to the audit.';

The auditor does not test every control in existence, only those controls the absence of which can lead to MATERIAL misstatement of the financial statements.
