thanks **Polypyrimidine tract binding protein controls the transition from exon definition to an intron defined..?
I don't know Italian, but it is a complicated sentence so maybe I can simplify it a bit. The difference between an exon and an intron in mRNA is that the EXon is the part that is EXpressed during translation. (Translation is the process where mRNA is translated into protein ';language.';) But before translation can begin, the intron must be removed from the unprocessed mRNA. Polypyrimidine is the protein that ';finds'; the border between the exon and the intron.
