Infection Control can be defined as measures practiced by healthcare personnel in healthcare facilities to decrease transmission and acquisition of infectious agents (eg, proper hand hygiene, scrupulous work practices, use of personal protective equipment (PPE) [masks or respirators, gloves, gowns, and eye protection]; infection control measures are based on how an infectious agent is transmitted and include standard, contact, droplet, and airborne precautions.Definition of infection control?

already answered this once, and I still say you ought to do your own homework.
infection control is simple.you have an infection, you cannot cure it with medication, but you can try to limit it's growth, you maybe able to keep it at it's present state,. much like pain management, you have the pain, you cannot immediately get ride of it, maybe like arthritic pain, so you learn to ';manage it';, to deal with it, to find ways to try and alleviate some of the pain or contain it., similar terms for different types of illnesses.
